Douglas Ricardo Adams

November 25, 1933 - December 16, 2011

Douglas Ricardo Adams, 78, of Janesville passed away at his home on Friday, December 16, 2011 following a long battle with failing health. Doug was born in Sauk City, WI on November 25, 1933, the son of Hollis J. Adams and Evelyn L. (Janssen) Adams. He graduated from Prairie du Sac High School and was a four year veteran of the U. S. Navy. Doug married his wife, Mary F. Adams on June 9, 1991. He was employed by General Motors for 31 ½  years retiring in 1994. He later worked as a driver for Fagan Automotive. He enjoyed numerous hobbies including water skiing, boating, motorcycles, street rodding, traveling with his wife, NASCAR racing, going to dinner with friends, euchre, Mexican train and working on his 1940 Packard.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, two sons, Dennis (Kathleen) Adams of Madison, Douglas (Barbara) Adams of Wausau, step-daughter, Dawn (Craig) O’Donnell of Fort Myers, FL, step-son, Michael (Linsey) Draeger of Janesville, grandchildren, Deven (Samantha) Adams, Derek Adams, Daelen Adams, Kahlea Adams, Alex Adams and Kelly Moser.
“Doug loved all things that went fast. He lived life on the edge and did all he wanted to see and do in life. He will be greatly missed by many.”
Per Doug’s request, there will be no visitation or services and he wished to be cremated. Assisting the family is Henke-Clarson Funeral Home. www.henkeclarson.com.
